Floating banner ads are ads that float around the web page over the top of the web page content. These are done using DHTML and Flash, and can be created with professional design tools or can be created using technologies such as PointRoll or Eyeblaster. These eye-catching ads really get the message across. They are hard to avoid and when used in a limited fashion, are very productive. Utilizing the transparency features inherent in Macromedia Flash, you can create banner ads that pop out of the page, or partially overlap it, or have the ad move from side to side.
